Code-Compliant Fire Protection

A fire protection system has to do more than alarm — it has to detect early, notify clearly, and integrate with the life-safety systems already in your building. Every installation is engineered around NFPA standards, AHJ requirements, and how your space is actually used.

NFPA-Compliant Design

Every system is engineered to NFPA 72 and local fire code, with as-built drawings and test documentation provided for your AHJ and insurer.

Early-Warning Detection

Photoelectric, ionization, heat, and waterflow sensors paired with addressable panels that pinpoint the exact device in alarm — not just the zone.

Integrated Life Safety

Direct interfaces with door releases, elevator recall, HVAC shutdown, and the monitoring station — so one event triggers every required response.

What Our Fire Protection Systems Cover

A complete life-safety platform handling detection, notification, suppression coordination, and code compliance — fully integrated and centrally monitored.

Smoke & Heat Detection

Photoelectric and ionization smoke sensors, fixed and rate-of-rise heat detectors, paired with addressable panels that identify the exact device in alarm.

Notification Appliances

Code-compliant audible and visual notification — horns, strobes, speaker systems, and voice evacuation for larger occupancies.

Sprinkler Monitoring

Waterflow and tamper switches, pre-action and dry-pipe panel monitoring, and door releases tied directly to fire alarm activation.

Elevator & HVAC Interface

Elevator recall, HVAC fan shutdown, magnetic door holders, and damper control — all triggered automatically when an event is detected.

How We Install Your System

A direct, no-surprises process from initial walkthrough through final AHJ inspection.

1

Site Assessment

We walk the building, review occupancy and existing infrastructure, and identify what the fire code requires for your space.

2

Engineered Plans

You receive engineered drawings with device locations, riser diagrams, and a clear proposal — pre-reviewed for AHJ approval before any work begins.

3

Professional Install

Certified technicians install, test, and document every device, circuit, and interface in your new system.

4

Inspect & Maintain

Annual NFPA-required inspections, code compliance reporting, and fast service response keep your system compliant year-round.

24/7 Central Station Monitoring

Every signal from your fire system — alarm, supervisory, trouble, or waterflow — is received by our UL-listed monitoring center and dispatched to the fire department in seconds, not minutes.

  • Immediate police, fire, and medical dispatch
  • Two-way verification to reduce false dispatches
  • Text and email status messages for every event

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions building owners and facility managers ask before installing or upgrading a fire protection system.

How often does my fire alarm system need to be inspected?

NFPA 72 requires annual testing and inspection of all fire alarm systems by a qualified provider. Many AHJs also require quarterly or semi-annual inspections of specific components. We schedule and document every inspection, with reports submitted directly to your AHJ when required.

What’s the difference between a conventional and an addressable fire alarm system?

Conventional systems report alarms by zone, telling you a general area is in alarm. Addressable systems identify the exact device in alarm — speeding up response and reducing false alarms. For new installs and most commercial buildings, we recommend addressable.

Can you integrate fire alarm with sprinklers, doors, and HVAC?

Yes. A code-compliant fire alarm system interfaces directly with waterflow switches, magnetic door holders, elevator recall, and HVAC fan shutdown. Every device that needs to respond to an alarm is wired in and tested as part of the install.

Will my existing fire alarm panel work, or does it need to be replaced?

It depends on the panel’s age, manufacturer, and code compliance. We service most major brands and can typically expand or upgrade existing systems. During the site assessment, we’ll let you know exactly what’s supportable and what should be replaced.

Do you handle permitting and the AHJ inspection process?

Yes. We prepare engineered drawings, submit for permits, coordinate with your local fire marshal, and are present for the final AHJ inspection. You receive a complete compliance package when the system is signed off.

How long does a typical fire alarm installation take?

Smaller commercial spaces are often completed in two to five days. Larger facilities, retrofits, and multi-tenant buildings vary based on size, occupancy, and existing infrastructure — you’ll get a firm timeline in your proposal before any work begins.

Are your fire systems UL listed and NFPA compliant?

Yes. ASI is a UL-listed fire alarm provider, all installations follow NFPA 72 standards, and our technicians are certified. We provide full code-compliance documentation for insurance and AHJ inspection on request.
